Is it wrong that I really don't like this holiday? Not the the meaning itself, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ our saviour...of course I don't mind that - that was the initial point of it. No, I hate what America and the media have turned it into - a month of spewing money out of our pockets to make everyone "happy", and it's about fancy decorations, and trees, and making our yard look shinier than the annoying neighbors with all the expensive materialistic things. And the holiday has become a contradiction to itself in general. For example, it is a religious based holiday that encourages spiritual enlightenment rather than material items - but during this holiday people will dig all the christmas crap out of their attics, closets and garages to decorate the entire house, or at least as much as they can reach. Also the whole spending tons of money on people thing....you know, don't get me wrong, I don't mind giving and recieving gifts, and I know it started out a symbolic tradition symbolizing the three kings bringing gifts to the baby Jesus. But honestly, America has made it as if that's what the holiday is about...which of course it is NOT. The other thing being that people have forced themselves to believe that they need to listen to christmas music 24/7 from the middle of November to the middle of January. Personally I think since it's called christmas music, why not listen to it on CHRISTMAS DAY? And just that day?
I had to say it. Christmas it about rejoicing the birth of Jesus Christ...that's why it's called CHRISTmas. It's not about decorations...screw the decorations.
Oh the other thing...if you are atheist or agnostic, there's no point in you celebrating christmas....call it "Make everyone happy with presents" day...or something along those lines. Why would you celebrate it if you don't believe in it's purpose?
That's all I have to say. Bah hum bug.
I'm sorry if I have ruined anyone's christmas allusion/fantasy; sue me.

To me, boxing is like a ballet, except there's no music, no choreography, and the dancers hit each other.

Yet I like abstract. I must be the utterly bewildered :/
I personally think the world will be a LOT better someday without humans at all.
